A tune said to come from the Little People -- The Gold Ring..

Fri Oct 22, 2010 11:28 am by fiddle4u

Me Playing a Jig,, mixed with Fairy Stories, I think it was Séamus Ennis, who said he got it from one of the '' Little People '' if he gave over his Gold Ring -- '' And he did , and here's the tune '' -- lol....

This one isn't funny until you see the sign on the door.
It says, "Always Open".

Think about it. Twisted Evil

The pub is in Toronto.

King Edward Goose Fat Roast Potatoes

Post by Madra Rua on Fri Aug 13, 2010 12:33 pm

Okay, okay, so this isn't a pub sign, but I had to share anyway. On a recent trip to the UK, I bought these pre-prepared potatoes in the local Sainsbury's.

King Edward Goose Fat Roast Potatoes. Yum! But wait, there's more:

Cat Dragged Inn

Post by Madra Rua on Fri Aug 13, 2010 12:36 pm

Meanwhile, back at Funny Pub Names....

I took this photo in 2004 in Dublin down on the Quays early one Sunday morning. I never did go back when it was open to see exactly what the cat did drag in.

And now I hear it's closed. So I guess what The Cat Dragged Inn wasn't at all nice. affraid

This one isn't really a pub - it's a restaurant with a bar in San Fransisco, but I loved the name:

nothing at all. Not sure why they have those in the window to be honest. It's a hardware store mostly, right near Trinity College in Dublin.

Knobs and Knockers

but there's sort of a double meaning here, if you know what I mean. I'm not explaining further myself.
